One Rupee Clinic

We have started “One Rupee Arthritis Clinic” where in patients from low-income group can avail the super specialty rheumatology consultation by paying 1 rupee. The clinic run on 1st Thursday of every month and hundreds of underprivileged patients have been benefitted. This was inaugurated by honorable MLA and Chairman, “Sambad” Group Mr. Soumya Ranjan Pattnaik in presence of Chief Guest. Dr. Prabhas Acharya, National Secretary Lok Sevak Mandal and Chief Administrative Officer of “The Samaj”, Dr Sanghamitra Pati, Director – RMRC, Dr. Sanjukta Mohapatra, President Cuttack Club and MrTejeswar Parida.

Free Treatment of Patients

Treatment of autoimmune disease can be costly affair for many and because of this many suffers from deformity. SoOARFT have adopted many patients from low socio economic background and the complete treatment cost of these patients are born by the trust which includes medicines, Investigations and consultations. Till now we have adopted more than 15 patients.

World Arthritis Day 2022

To create awareness regarding arthritis an arthritis awareness rally. “A Walk for Arthritis” was arranged from morning 8.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. wherein around 50 people walked with different placards.Mr. Bijay Kumar Mishra, President IRA(Indian Rheumatology Association) Odishaalso Participated in the rallyand discussed the role of importance of early diagnosis of the disease and the advancement of treatment options available now.

World Lupus Day 2022

To honor and encourage the brave solders of LUPUS, on occasion of “World Lupus Day 2022”, we have organized one Awareness rally from “Odisha arthritis and rheumatology center” Saheed, Nagar to Rupali Square Bhubaneswar at 08:00 AM on 10th May 2022.
To grace this occasion Actress and youth icon Ms Elina Das joined and inaugurated the rally. Prof Dr Jyoti Ranjan Parida discussed about the disease and its huge socio-economic implications and the importance of consulting a rheumatologist on regular time and lifestyle modification.

World AS Day 2022

To create awareness We have organized an awareness camp where Prof Dr Jyoti Ranjan Parida, Medical Director of OARC and a renowned rheumatologist of the state highlighted about the importance of early detection of the disease and the advancement in the treatment of the disease.
To celebrate this occasion OARFT has Arranged a free physiotherapy camp for the patients suffering from Axial Spondyloarthritis. To grace this occasion Dr. Nilamber Rath, Mr Akash Das Mohapatra also Participated and discussed on the Issue.

OARC Update -I “Catching The Eye in Rheumatology”

Today medical science has shifted from compartmental approach to holistic approach. Multisystemic diseases need a collaborative effort among different healthcare providers not only for treating the patients but also for research into diseases pathogenesis.
Odisha arthritis and Rheumatology Foundation Trust (OARFT) in association with OSOS (Odisha State Ophthalmological Society) and API(Association of Physicians) Odisha chapter conducted one day national conference to address this issue. The aim of this conference “OARC Update1” is to facilitate a common platform for a crosstalk and exchange of knowledge and research ideas between physicians and young researchers working in the field of Ophthalmology and Rheumatology. International and national speakers from both Rheumatology and Ophthalmology shared their research and wisdom.

To provide basic education to the under privileged students OARFT in association with Jeevan Seva foundation started “Ama Pathasala” at Do Muhi Basti of Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar.
